Coronavirus infections are on the rise again in Germany

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has not been in favor of easing the nationwide lockdown so quickly.

But some state governments did not comply and were quick to lift the lockdown. North Rhine-Westphalia Chief Minister Armin Laschett was among those who called for a speedy lifting of the lockdown. At present, 1,550 employees of a meat processing company in the Guterreslu region of the state and 24 others living in the city have been infected with the coronavirus.

At a meat company called Tonias, coronavirus precautions and regulations were ignored. A total of seven thousand people work in this organization. A complete lockdown has been declared in the Guterreslu region until June 30. A large number of police are patrolling the area, which has a population of 375,000, to control whether the lockdown is being fully complied with.

The previous restrictions are in force as a new lockdown has been announced. People everywhere on the roadside shops have been told to keep a distance. All shops except supermarkets, drug stores, sanitary ware, petrol pumps, banks, post offices, etc. have been closed. Religious shrines of all religions, including hotels and restaurants, have also been declared closed. In addition, all bars, clubs, theaters, zoos, public swimming pools, children's playgrounds, playgrounds have been declared closed. Everyone has been asked to wear a mask.

In addition to the Guterreslu region, coronavirus infections have increased in Magdeburg, Gaitingen and Berlin's nine colonies. A multi-storey building in the town of Gaitingen has been locked down since last week. One person died of coronavirus infection in that building yesterday. In some buildings in the Friedsheim area of ​​Berlin, 44 people became infected with the coronavirus.

Lothar Villa, president of the Robert Kock Institute for Infectious Diseases Research in Germany, told the German people that everyone must abide by the coronavirus code of conduct or the second-stage coronavirus crisis could escalate. So far, 1,92,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Germany and 8,914 have died.
